Journal Metrics: SNIP, SJR & Impact Factor*
Find the latest metrics for Elsevier's journals per subject area.

Definitions:

SNIP: Source Normalized Impact per Paper measures contextual citation impact by weighting citations based on the total number of citations in a subject field. This means SNIP values can be compared for any two journals, regardless of the field they are in.

SJR: SCImago Journal Rank is a prestige metric based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. Citations are weighted, depending on the rank of the citing journal.

Impact Factor, as calculated by Thomson Reuters, is a ratio of the citations to a journal in the most recent year to a count of articles and reviews published in the journal in the prior two years.

On behalf of the Editors and Elsevier, we would like to thank you for your invaluable contribution to the journals' success. We look forward to working with you again.
